The Grand Marlin Restaurant & Oyster Bar

We came for lunch on Saturday and sat inside to enjoy the AC. The views inside and outside are great. I had the mango mojito which was amazing! It’s made from real fresh fruit. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband has blackened red snapper. We also had oysters Rockefeller. This was the best meal we’ve eaten since moving to the panhandle! Their spirits and cocktail list in impressive! They had our favorite whiskeys and bourbons too! I recommend for a great meal or special occasion!

Great beach environment makes for the perfect setting for this place. Love the food, great service. Long time customer and we go here often.

Was in Pensacola Beach over the weekend. Used to live in Pensacola. Eat at Grand Marlin twice this weekend. This was the first time visiting this fine restaurant. The food was amazing, the best seafood I have had in a long time. The wait staff and bartenders were friendly, nice and attentive. The decor and atmosphere was very nice and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First time to visit to celebrate my daughter's birthday on a Sunday. The Ahi poke melted in your mouth. The prime rib was exemplary delicious, as well as the featured Street Taco Omelet. The crab cake was well executed and delicious as well as the blackened grilled red snapper which was one of the fish offerings of the day. The praline bowl vanilla ice cream with berries made the visit most memorable because not only was it beautiful, it was scrumptious! The place was festive with live music and our server Patrick was very informative and attentive. ;0)

Great food! The bar has missed the mark on their drinks more than once on me, so stick to the wine/beer but their great selection makes that easy. The brown butter option for their fish is incredible. I’ve tried about 5 dishes here and all are ones I would gladly recommend!

Absolutely perfect!!!, lobster finger appetizer was amazing. The mahi mahi fish of the day was done to perfection. And our server was top notch. She was helpful,friendly, and very knowledgeable of the menu items and gave us great recommendations. We Will definitely be dining here on a regular basis.

I tried with 2 different people, Nicole who answered the phone, and Megan, the manager, to make a reservation for my family and I for a very special event, my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. They were unaccommodating, and gave me the run around, unable to answer basic questions like a nice table recommendation, or time for a reservation to accommodate my large 8 person party from out of town. They seemed very put off and inconvenienced by my requests, annoyed that I would ask for a nice table and ambience for this event. The customer service for what is supposed to be a "fine dining" experience, was lack luster and underwhelming, and even rude. We will find another place to celebrate.

This is a wonderful restaurant for a special meal. We went for Sunday brunch and had mimosas made with fresh squeezed oj for 2.5! Entrees run from reasonable to quite pricey; but the food is just delectable and worth the cost. Outdoors, a band with a steel drum was playing beach music with a gorgeous view of the bay. Indoors is a bit more elegant and quiet.

We take a group of elderly residents here for lunch. I was so impressed with their care and compassion for our group. The service was outstanding.

Truly the best restaurant on this island, top notch from the hostess to the servers. Classy and yet not stuffy, food was excellent...get the side of hush puppies you wouldn't want to skip them. Variety menu, we both went with fish...grouper for me and red snapper for the wife. They brought us a nice dessert for our anniversary too. Server was Alex, great job.

Our Girls Christmas outing was very nice and the food was very good. I ordered the crab cakes and they were good. Also the fried crab claws and the calamari with the fried peppers was fantastic!

This place has excellent drink deals for happy hour. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend. Try the tuna with Wasabi mashed potatoes. So good.

Just want to say the Ryan s, he is the best employee working at the grand marlin , when I tell you he made me and my wife anniversary an amazing experience last night , it was amazing . The food was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing , I highly recommend grand marlin and if you get the chance to go make sure you ask for a table in Ryan s area. Brunch wasn't very good ... Asked if we could be seated by a window ... We're told that the tables were reserved. Noone ever used those tables. Ordered steak and eggs ... Medium rare ... Came out well done ... Told the waitress ... She offered to take it back ... Told her it was ok but that she should tell someone. Guess they don't care. ... I expected that a manager would at least drop by and apologize ... crickets.

Excellent. Service was excellent, accommodating 5 adults and 3 young children very well. Food was great too. Server was very knowledgeable of menu items and staff work well together.

My wife and I went to the Grand Marlin to sit at the bar, have a few appetizers with drinks. We wanted to change it up from our normal places we go. Everything was great we were having fun talking with friends. When I went to order my wife and I another drink the bartender asked would I not better prefer water. Having 4 drinks in the course of over two hours with food does not warrant that kind of comment and refusal to serve us another drink. We were by far not even close to impaired nor on a mission to get impaired, we were just out to hangout have a few drinks with appetizers. Needless to say we were shocked and quietly closed our tab and left. We went to another restaurant to finish out our date night. We will not return to the Grand Marlin.

Amazing atmosphere. Shrimp was over seasoned and overcooked but that happens. Caesar was decent but way overpriced. (always alerts me to the greediness of a restaurant) Would probably go back though. Everyone's dish was great and the seafood was very fresh. Need more craft beer selections!

This is a very nice restaurant with a good variety of fresh seafood and reasonable pricing. You can eat at the bar, outdoors or indoors. They have fresh shucked oysters for 50 cents on Tuesdays I believe, check before going. Service is very good. It was our birthday and they provided us with the dessert in the picture for free.

Great cocktails, even better food.My wife and I make it a point to eat at Grand Marlin at least once when we come to Pensacola Beach. The Grand Marlin has about a good selection of unique cocktails and martinis, plus a large selection of wines. We've never had a drink we didn't enjoy. Food is always excellent. We crave the Blue Angel chips for weeks before coming, and they didn't disappoint. Seafood was fresh and delicious.Make it a point to add Grand Marlin to your list of restaurants to visit if you're in the Pensacola area. Tip: make a reservation through Open Table.

Grilled swordfish was great, and our server, Grey, recommended two excellent sauces to pair it with.The salmon was cooked perfectly, and his rip to "go up a notch" from how you'd normally order your steak was spot on.Great experience overall!

I sat at the bar so can't comment on service. Bar service was great. Grouper was delicious. Gumbo wasn't the best but not bad. Great desserts. Would recommend eating here for a good seafood meal. I was there on a rainy night but I'm sure view is nice in summer.

High end dinning with a great atmosphere. Several great choices on the menu from grilled, steamed, fried, broiled or raw. Very good place for special occasions and holidays as we were there on Christmas Eve with my in laws. We have also had the Sunday brunch there when its warmer on there open deck. Picturesque views of the sound and a nice breeze off the water.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is superb. The grouper picatta is really great and so is the majority of their fish. Service is generally good as well. Only 1 reason for 4 stars because this has happened to us twice now. Do not tell them it's your birthday...even if you bring your own dessert they still charge you for their dessert. Although it's good, that's super disappointing that they dont even ask....you won't know you are being billed for it until your check comes out. That's very shady to me, especially since we brought our own dessert both times...not cool. Would rather have our own dessert and not pay for theirs. Other than that, the food is excellent.

I do not understand how this place is in business. I was so hungry and looking forward to having dinner here. I ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and a salad. When my entree came, I thought it was a prank. 2 teeny tiny crab cakes and a teeny tiny scoop of potatoes. I think I ate it all in 4 bites because that’s how small a portion it was. Oh, and it was $30 something dollars. I was STARVING when I left. Never again.

Amazing food. Absolutely loved the salt and pepper calamari and the blue angel chips. For main course do try the swordfish! Dessert cakes come in huge portions. The staff is amiable. Highly recommended.

Great spot for brunch, with fantastic views of the water, and the service is always very friendly and efficient. Their Oysters Rockefeller, gumbo, lobster, etc. are all delicious. Some non-seafood items are good too, but not always at the same level as the seafood. (Open on New Year's Day, which is another plus.)

Waterfront dining. Great service exceeded only by their cuisine. Their unique twist to shrimp and grits is well worth the try. Also don't leave without tasting the praline volcano dessert.

We had the Surf & Turf special on a Tuesday and it was very good. They do have ocean view seating, but when we were there it was very foggy. The male server was exceptional. I would recommend you make reservations.The next time we go back to Pensacola Beach on vacation, we will dine there again.

Food is fantastic, I actually loved the green beans, and I don't eat green beans. Do not know what magic they have but it is some good magic.

Very nice restaurant with great food. It's a little on the higher price scale, but the quality of food and service are worth it. I look forward to visiting again.

Love the atmosphere! Made a reservation online and stated that it was date night for my party and they sat us on the patio in a nice cabana-like area with candle light. The food was good. Get the oysters!!!! I could’ve made those my meal. The fried shrimp was great too. They do need a few more menu options but overall a great place for dinner.

We went the day after valentine's and it was packed but the wait time wasn't too bad(50mins). Service was great! Food was awesome!

The feel of the restaurant was amazing, the staff was extremely bubbly and polite. Our sever was so knowledgeable it surprised me honestly. She could tell you about any item on the menu.The cocktail was fantastic, one of the best I've had in the area.Don't get me started on the blackened swordfish, it was all perfect. Will definitely be back.

We went here for New Year’s Day brunch. Absolutely fantastic! This may be our new New Year’s Day tradition. Everything was amazing. From the drinks to the apps to the entrees. I now want to try dinner here sometime!

Service was good, building and ambiance was ok. I wasn't impressed with the food. I usually don't eat at the beach because I find the food to be far inferior to what you can find in downtown Pensacola, but we wanted to try something new. If you're a tourist and don't want fried food, give this a try if you don't feel like making the trip over the bridge.

Not a big variety of food. I guess the high price is for the location. The food is okay, but nothing spectacular. It is beautifully decorated with a nice floorplan. Very large party had to sit at separate tables which were separated by flora (no conversation between the two tables).

Food was great I suggest the calamari. It alone is a meal. The bloody Marie's where fantastic. Not priced out of the world very reasonably proportioned.the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area.

Excellent food and great service. The view of the bay is wonderful. Go there on special occasions. It's really nice but a little loud. Their cocktails are out of this world, and the seafood is the best in the beach.

This was my first visit to this restaurant but definitely not the last. I had the crab cakes and my date had scallop risotto. We had bananas foster butter cake for dessert. The food was delicious, service was impeccable and the musician played a Carribean type of music very softly. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Very nice view and good seafood. Nice stop for lunch, with prices that were not crazy. We would go again.

First of all this place is gorgeous! We loved the atmosphere and attentive kind staff. Then the food. Amazing! We had the Ahi Poke appetizer and the salamon and rib eye with scallops entres. Excellent portion sizes and flavors. Excellent dessert at the end. Nothing disappointed!
